To ditch the dummy or not? That is the question. Some children are extremely attached to their dummies like my son, for example. If the dummy is working for you and your child, just as it does for us, then carry on as you are, you need to do what works for you.
However, if any of the below situations sound all too familiar, it may be time to remove the dummy:
Baby wakes frequently at night, looking for their dummy and need help to put it back in.
Baby wakes during naps looking for their dummy, then only sleep for 10 or so minutes longer once settled with the dummy.
Baby wakes early in the morning and you are not able to settle them with their dummy.
